NetherRealm Studios has finally let the cat out of the bag, as they have announced the full lineup of fighters for Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack. We already know that Shang Tsung, Nightwolf and Sindel are in the DLC pack, but we didn’t know who the final three were going to be, until now. Terminator, Spawn, and The Joker were all confirmed by the company today, with the former coming out very soon.
Here is the full list of fighters and when they’re available to play in the game:
- Shang Tsung: Available now
- Nightwolf: Available now
- Terminator: October 8, 2019
- Sindel: November 26, 2019
- Joker: January 28, 2020
- Spawn: March 17: 2020
Shang Tsung and Nightwolf are already out for the game, with the latter being available as recent as last week. Sindel was confirmed a while ago, but did not have a set date until now. Terminator is modeled after the Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger who made the character popular through the Terminator film series. The version we’ll be getting here is based on the upcoming entry Dark Fate, giving the Terminator a much more grizzled look.
The Joker needs no introduction as the most famous arch-villain of Batman, and arguably the most popular villain in DC Comics history. This isn’t Jokers first outing in a Mortal Kombat game. He appeared in 2008’s Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, making him the first guest character to have already been in a previous game in the franchise.
This iteration will be yet another cross promotion to a future film, Joker, which will be portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix. Lastly there’s Spawn, the most famous comic character created by Todd McFarlane. A huge hero (or anti-hero) in his own right, Spawn is often cited as one the best comic book icons from the 1990’s and influenced a whole new generation of fans.
This finishes up the current Kombat Pack, but it’s more than likely that NetherRealm will announce a second one before the year ends. As we said earlier, Shang Tsung and Nightwolf are already out in Mortal Kombat 11. Terminator and Sindel will be released in October and November respectively, while Joker and Spawn don’t launch until early next year.
